TIME TO RECALL YOUR PAST DEEDS.

#VILLAGEBOY EDITION.

Of late the media landscape is awash with news items of the former Mahama-boy who headed that NHIS outfit at the behest of JDM.

Today Sly has grown wings enough to poke his arrogant fingers into the face that fed him. The face that gave him the platform to become known to village and local nobodies like NashAdamah. How ungrateful. His declaration and that of Namoale’s are bad for discipline and loyalty. I have nothing against Spio’s and the UPSA dude. They are canons themselves.

Isn’t it preposterous for someone like Sly to even joke of challenging JDM to a duel? What impudence! What effrontery!

My analysis and personal experience about and with Sylvester Mensah is the outpouring I hearwrenchingly poured out here.

It reads:……..

HIS ARROGANT NATURE MAKES IT DIFFICULT FOR HIM TO SAY HELLO TO PEOPLE HE FINDS NOT WITHIN HIS FRIENDS CIRCLE..
I once met Sylvester Mensah coming out from Allegro’s ( Hon Alex Segbefia) office. I said hello. His non-response and body language left me feeling insulted and vandalized and raped. It took away the respect I had for myself that instant. That’s how deep I felt the snub coming from that refined copy of a Don King.
Long ago when John Mahama was a mere Parliamentarian, he wouldn’t pass me by on the steps of Flash Photo Lab at Danquah Circle, Oxford St Osu, without an #authentic and a genuine smile and which is followed naturally by his trademark “how are you” greeting. This happens anytime he comes over to drop his films with his friend Dan Chothia, the husband of Kadidja, Nana Addo’s niece for processing. Dan was the manager of my friend Samir Taleb’s Flash Photo Lab then. Same Samir is the Frankies owner, Oxford St.
John carries same spirit with Ibrahim who invites me to his home in Dzorwulu for programs in those his formative years of Engineers & Planners.
I am bringing this out for us to be careful of our snobbish attitudes that we wear on our sleeves and paint our horrible faces with when we move about in town. John Mahama, Ibrahim Mahama, Dhunjisha Chothia and wife Kadidja, kudos for your humility and respect shown to we ordinary folks.
There’s no need for me to add anything again about that arrogant and snobbish cap Sly Mensah wears. He #wrongly believes he’s a #presidential_material.

The cheek of it.
Pls give me another story.

YOU REAP WHAT YOU SOW.

WE ARE PLANTING CORN IN ITS SEASON.

AND FOR SURE, WE WON’T HARVEST YAMS.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
This is what’s wrong with our system.
We grade corruption by the personality indulging in it. Here’s a leader of a revolution who shot people tied at the stakes for taking Ghc50,000 (old system). The Roger Fellis and the Utukas. Fast forward and this Rawlings became friends with a thief. This thief stole from his people. He shared the loot with like minds across Africa that are willing to do PR work for his image. Rawlings received a whooping Usd5 million. Ghanaians heard about it. The lawmakers house took the matter up. The ruling corrupt NDC Govt and party backed a corrupt persons denial. Investigative journalists like Bill Nyarko went to Nigerian villages to dig up the truth. The attack dogs of the corruption brigade were let loose. People backed off.
Fast forward again to twenty years time. Hell broke loose. A Nigerian dare devil came over with solid info on the thievery. Rawlings was confronted with solid intelligence work. He succumbed and struck a deal.
Rawlings finally told the world that Sanni Abacha indeed gave him the money, but not the Usd5 million Gozo was asked to deliver, but a mere Usd2 million. He further moronically told a suspicious public that as he had no bank account, he left the two million dollars on the office table and it became the office petty cash which every joke who enters the office uses until it dried up.
What a stupid and a palpable idiocy.
Recently a former Israeli Prime Minister who took a small campaign fund was jailed because of the principles they preach. That’s after so many years of leaving office. Go to another country called Brazil. Visit South Korea. They all have state imbued statutes that clearly spell out sanctions and penalties for getting into unholy alliances with corruption.
Ghana, instead of holding Corrupt Rawlings to account, after listening to his lame excuse, is rather offering him a platform to speak on morality, accountability, transparency, fidelity, incorruptibility and good governance.
What is Ghana telling its massive youthful population? That it pays to be corrupt? That the Ghana of today doesn’t care how you come into your wealth? That society will offer you a place at the high table irrespective of the means to your riches?
The things we practiced in secret are things that are being done in the open today. The lawlessness and disregard for authority is what we planted.
And we are going to reap its full benefits if we do not stop glorifying thievery and corruption.
The Rawlingses and all those corrupt personalities should be made to face the prescribed penalties today and our society will take a good cue from that.
Unless we are all so corrupt.
Yes, from ministers of religion, public servants, judiciary, police/army/revenue/customs, political thugs and thieves, to the lowest in the land, we are all thieves. We have no conscience. We lack morals.
This country will pay dearly for this treacherous lifestyle we’ve adopted after the sacrifice of the Great Osagyefo.
The distrust of our institutions is breeding the lawlessness. No one will be spared. The lynchings are but the precursor to a full blown failed state.
God Almighty save us.
WORDS THAT ARE AS DECEITFUL AS THE LIPS THAT CARRIED THEM. WHAT IS CORRUPTION? IF CORRUPTION IS SHARING IN THE GREAT LOOT BY SANNI ABACHA, THEN RAWLINGS SHOULD STOP HIS GYMNASTICS. HE IS THE REASON, TOGETHER WITH THE OTHER VULTURES THAT GAVE BIRTH TO BOKO HARAM. THEY RAPED THE NIGERIAN KITTY.
Rawlings Questions Colour Of Today’s Democracy…01-Jan-2016
Former President, Flt Lt Jerry John Rawlings has rallied Ghanaians to rejuvenate the revolutionary spirit to combat corruption, greed and selfishness or risk derailing our political and social cohesion.
The leader of the June 4 1979 uprising and the 31st December 1981 revolution said:
“The colour of the democracy especially from the period of 2000 appears to lack the will, the capacity and the ability to fight corruption.”
The former President, who spoke at a ceremony to mark the 34th anniversary of the 31st December revolution on Thursday, described as a source of national pain, the loss of the spirit of defiance that couldcontain greed and selfishness and which has led to the institution of vice and corruption in the country.
Recalling the rationale behind the revolutions, Flt Lt Rawlings said:
“The colour of these revolutions contained a strong element of justice, truthfulness and freedom and the spirit of defiance to contain wrongdoing. We should be asking ourselves what happened especially from the year 2000.
“…The significance of this ceremony, as simple as it is, should never be lost on us. It should serve as a constant reminder of where we were and where we are. It should serve as a constant reminder of what led to the revolt of June 4 1979 and serve as a constant reminder of the 31st December Revolution.”
Other speakers at the parade and lighting of perpetual flame event, which took place at the Revolutionary Square in Accra, included Nii Dodoo Nsakie, Otublohum Mantse, who reminded the audience, comprising cadres, members of the public, traditional rulers and some government officials that the revolution occurred to restore transparency, accountability and selfless leadership.
Nii Nsakie who is also the Acting President of the Ga Traditional Council, charged Ghanaians to use the commemoration to remind themselves of the need to be open and transparent at all levels to ensure that the peace and stability we enjoy is sustained.
The National Democratic Congress constituency chairman for Keta, Dr. Kofi Djokoto recalled the spirit of selflessness that heralded the revolution and challenged all to hold leadership accountable. He enjoined Ghanaians to embrace the spirit of patriotism and equity and to demand efficiency and compassion from those who govern us.
“The spirit of the revolution must be rejuvenated and resuscitated,” Dr. Djokoto asserted.
Earlier wreaths in honour of the fallen heroes were laid on behalf of the People ofGhana, the security services, the cadre corps, traditional institutions, farmers and fishermen and the youth.
The perpetual flame was lit by a triad of police officers at the request of Flt. Lt Jerry John Rawlings.
FULL TEXT OF WHAT PRESIDENT RAWLINGS SAID AT 34TH ANNIVERSARY CEREMONY OF THE 31ST DECEMBER REVOLUTION
The significance of this ceremony, as simple as it is, should never be lost on us. It should serve as a constant reminder of where we were and where we are. It should serve as a constant reminder of what led to the revolt of June 4 1979 and serve as a constant reminder of the 31st December Revolution.”
Ladies and gentlemen, from what I can see, it appears that the colour of this democracy is very different from the colour of the democracy we knew from 1982 to 1992 and also very different from the colour of the democracy we knew from the constitutional period of 1992 to 2000.
The colour of these revolutions contained a strong element of justice, truthfulness and freedom and the spirit of defiance to contain wrongdoing. We should be asking ourselves what happened especially from the year 2000. The colour of the democracy especially from the period of 2000 appears to lack the will, the capacity and the ability to fight corruption. I keep harping on this issue and I will continue to do so.
The colour of this democracy seems a little too different from what we used to know, from the spirit of defiance that could contain the greed, the selfishness that has given rise to so much corruption and pain in this country. I keep reminding ourselves of the colour of the revolution. It is extremely important that we do everything possible to capture that spirit before it becomes toolate. I keep saying that the people of this country are peace-loving people and it is important that we do not take that peace loving nature of Ghanaians for granted.
In a few months we will meet again to light the flame of June 4th. Let us hope that some colour that we identify with, that is discernible with the revolution will begin to show. We need to rejuvenate the spirit to fight corruption, the spirit to contain greed, selfishness, otherwise ladies and gentlemen, we may not be able to reach our destination.
The time has come for us to start looking at those who profited from the change of the colour, starting from 2000 and those who are profiting from that change in colour. Ladies and gentlemen, Niimei, Naamei that’s all I have for you on this somber occasion.
Thank you.
THE OKYEHENE AND HIS CHILD ON THE WARPATH AGAINST PEACE AND TRANQUILITY IN GHANA.
Press Release
ORGANIZED YOUTH OF KROBO
RE: ER UNIVERSITY SHOULD HAVE BEEN IN AKIM RATHER THAN SOMANYA
We the Krobo Youth in the Eastern Region are scandalised by a very unfortunate statement made by the Member of Parliament for Akyem Abuakwa South, Samuel Atta Akyea and subsequently carried by several media houses and online portals, to the effect that the public university being built in the Eastern Region by President John Dramani Mahama should have been sited in the akyem area and not the proposed site at Somanya, a krobo land.
Not only is his statement unfortunate, it is also divisive as well as tribalistic and has the potential of plunging the region and by extension our dear nation into tribal conflict.
His statement seems to reinforce an earlier statement by Okyehene to the same effect which we did not consider responding because we gave the Okyehene the benefit of misrepresentation.
Hon Atta Akyea has in the past questioned why Koforidua (New Juaben) should be the capital of the Eastern Region and not Kyebi and we believe this continuous thought of Akyem Supremacy in a Republic does not auger well for coexistence especially when several krobos have settled on Akyem lands and there are Akyems also settling and owning properties in Krobolands.
Bringing development to an area should be national in character and not based on ethnicity, religion, economical status, race or religion as propounded by the framers of the 1992 constitution.
We are therefore at a loss as to why a legislature of his calibre who happens to be a lawyer would make such a reckless statement with the sole aim of denigrating Krobos as if we are not humans or Ghanaians.
We call on Samuel Atta Akyea to as a matter of urgency, render an unqualified apology to krobos in the Eastern Region in particular and Ghana in general so the co-existence among the eleven paramountcies in the region can be strengthened and sustained.
The Member of Parliament should also apologise to the President for questioning the wisdom in his decision to build the main campus of the proposed university at Somanya.
We also call on the Eastern Regional House of Chiefs to stamp its feet on this seemingly creeping tribaly motivated hate speeches being made by prominent citizens from the Region.
We seize this opportunity to express our profound gratitude to His Excellency President John Dramani Mahama for giving krobos our fare share of the national cake. We believe we deserve it because we are Ghanaians just like others who also continue to enjoy massive infrastructure projects from your government.
The Youth of Krobo are peace-loving and will therefore do every thing possible within our means to protect and maintain the peace and co-existence we are enjoying in the region hence our call on the Member of Parliament to do the honourable thing.
Long live Ghana and the Eastern Region!!!
